“Head in the Clouds”
June 8 - August 5
I started painting clouds during the height of the pandemic in 2020 as a subconscious release of emotions. The subject was intuitive, I didn’t plan for it, and every time I finished a cloud, I felt better. Each cloud also started to take on a personality: the ones with drips were moody, and the ones floating in a sky of blue seemed carefree. Often, we can become so consumed with our personal problems, but then upon looking towards the sky, the problems suddenly seem so small. With each passing moment of the day, the sky is presenting new possibilities, and painting new, original compositions.
What is a painting of a sky without clouds anyway?
